A Lemoyne woman said a small family had been in their rented Bosler Avenue home for barely a month when a fire started Wednesday morning .

The woman, who didn’t want to share her name, said a mother and young son had moved into the duplex in the 200 block of Bosler Avenue in September.

“It’s so sad because they just moved in,” she said from her home near the fire scene. “They didn’t even get to live in it yet and it’s so sad. They’re very nice people and I’m worried about them. We were just getting to know them.”

She said the other side of the home was sold about a month ago and is uninhabited.

The fire was reported about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday and drew several local fire companies.
