SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Eight formerly vacant spaces in Schenectady will soon be turned into 21 affordable apartments, as announced by Better Community Neighborhoods, Inc. on Tuesday. This will be made possible with state funding awarded to the organization in 2024.
The eight buildings are located on North Center Street, State Street, Gillespie Street, Yale Street, Union Street, North Ferry Street, Nott Street, and McClellan Street. BCNI is actively accepting applications for property owners to take advantage of the limited, state-supported opportunity for up to $75,000 per unit.
Those interested in applying can call (518) 372-7616 or go to the BCNI website.
