FRANKFORT, Ky. —
A law just took effect in Kentucky that prohibits the use of drones for hunting.
According to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, the law took effect this week.
The regulation makes it illegal to use any aircraft, including drones, for hunting, fishing or harassing wildlife.
So, no using them to shoot, trap, herd or guide a hunter to a live animal.
"This new rule ensures fair, safe, and responsible outdoor recreation for everyone," Fish and Wildlife said in a Facebook post.
They can be used for general scouting or to locate a deceased animal.
These rules apply statewide, on both public and private lands. This content is imported from Facebook. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their
