FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) - A cybersecurity attack occurred at Family Health West (FHW) earlier this week.
In a press release, FHW stated it is responding to the cybersecurity event that was quickly detected and contained by IT. There has been no evidence so far that patient or employee data was lost or encrypted.
According to the press release, Family Health West's IT department immediately started cybersecurity protocols, including system isolation, forensic review and ensured the integrity of the systems. They were all brought back online after they were verified as malware-free.
