MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – Spooky season is upon us, and the time for trick or treating is almost here. But some kids got a head start at the annual trick, track treat event at Stocker Stadium.
Before the main event of the night, which was a 50-yard dash for the younger kids and a 100-yard dash for the older ones, participants had the chance to do some more track activities on the field at Stocker Stadium.
"We've got our field events where the ghosts and goblins can throw jump and kick," said Matthew James, a Recreation Coordinator for Grand Junction Parks and Recreation. "Then we're going to move on to the track portion of the evening, and we'll have Superman versus Spider-Man in inflatables. It's just a really fun thing for the families to come out and do and try out the costumes befo
