We kind of assumed this was going to happen, but you never really know how it’s going to play out until you see it with your own eyes.

Suffice to say we can now confirm that Kieron Walton and Nathan Villeneuve are turning the Wolves season around.

The 6-foot-6 Walton earned himself OHL Player of the Week honours with eight points in two weekend games, helping propel his team to victories over Barrie and Peterborough on home ice. Longtime teammate Villeneuve wasn’t too far behind, either, putting up seven points in the same two games.

There was little doubt that once Walton returned from Winnipeg and Villeneuve got back from Seattle — and both were healthy and ready to go — they were eventually going to lead their team in scoring and create a bit of momentum for a club that struggled
