Astonishing CCTV footage has emerged of the moment a car crashed into a Sydney café, sending a woman to hospital.

Emergency services rushed to a café on Norton St in Leichhardt on Saturday morning after the vehicle crashed outside the venue , seriously injuring one woman who was pinned by the car.

The woman, aged 67, was rushed to hospital in a serious condition, with others assessed by paramedics.

CCTV captured the moment the grey BMW began slowing rolling towards a couple who were sitting at a table, unaware of what was about to happen.

Bystanders can be seen running towards the car to stop it however it was too late.

“It just floored it, it smacked straight through,” one of the bystanders Sean McKean said.
