TOMS RIVER, New Jersey (WABC) -- The weather is forcing some Halloween fun to reschedule in Toms River, New Jersey.
Trick-or-treating will now take place on November 1.
It's usually held on October 30 in the area to allow families to participate and enjoy the Halloween parade on the 31st.
However the weather forecast on Wednesday and Thursday is predicting 2 inches of rain along with winds gusting to 50 miles per hour.
The storm is anticipated to clear out by Friday.
Mayor Rodrick said trick-or-treating needed to move for everyone's safety. The Toms River Fire Company 1 Halloween Parade is still set for Halloween on Friday, October 31. It's the 86th year for the event.
