Concerns over the fate of existing tenants prompted Kitchener councillors to defer a vote on a proposed development this week.
A plan to demolish the current duplex and replace it with a building with a total of six units at 137 Woodhaven Rd. came before the city’s planning committee on Monday.
A zoning bylaw amendment is required to allow a semi-detached dwelling on the property. The new building, limited to two storeys, would be configured as a semi-detached dwelling, with two attached additional dwelling units on each side (a basement, first and second-floor unit on each side of the semi).
