CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says they are no longer searching for a person who reportedly stole a vehicle and led deputies on a vehicle pursuit Wednesday morning.
Deputies had a short pursuit at around 9 a.m. ended near the 2500 block of Clements Ferry Road, sheriff’s spokesperson Lexi Douglas said.
The driver of the vehicle ran away on foot and deputies are now searching for that person.
K-9 officers are also on the scene as part of the search.
Deputies have not provided a description of the person they are searching for.
Douglas said investigators do not believe there is a threat to the public. No arrest has been made yet.
