Shillong, Oct 29: Although there have been rumours that he would be dumped by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Meghalaya Congress president Vincent H Pala today received the public support of the party headquarters.
AICC secretary and party member in charge of Meghalaya, A Chellakumar, said that there is “no vacancy” in the state unit’s top echelon.
“Vincent Pala is our president, a loyal and hardworking Congress leader. The return of leaders like Zenith (Sangma) is proof of the confidence in his leadership,” he stated.
