NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton (R-Crossville) is asking the Tennessee Comptroller's Office to review what he called "staggering new property valuations."

According to Sexton, some lower Broadway properties saw their values increase by 300%.

A statement from the Speaker's office states:

Speaker Sexton has heard from numerous businesses and homeowners who are alarmed by the staggering new property valuations from the Davidson County Assessor’s Office. Some Lower Broadway properties saw increases of more than 300% between 2024 and 2025.
