A mid-week game saw the Wetaskiwin Icemen beat the Fort Sask Hawks in a shoot-out in a redemption match.
After losing to Fort Sask in the season home opener, the Icemen faced off in Fort Saskatchewan Oct. 22.
Jaxson Weatherby scored the only goal of the first period, but the Hawks came back with a pair in the second to tie the game, then move ahead 2-1.
A powerplay goal from Josh Gagnon in the third tied the game before Cooper Sonnenberg put the Icemen back on top but a late goal from the Hawks, with 26 seconds left on the clock pushed the game to overtime.
With nothing being settled in OT, the game came down to a shootout that saw Sonnenberg score a goal and Josh Gagnon scored in Round Two to give the Wetaskiwin Icemen the 4-3 win over the Fort Sask Hawks.
