Tara artist Bianca Artemida Nam has transformed the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound with her latest exhibition, ‘Where the Willows Weep and Orchids Dream.’
A news release issued Oct. 29 by Nam’s publicist said the installation unfolds as a surreal marshland – inspired by the Niagara escarpment, wetlands, and flora of Grey, Bruce and Dufferin Counties.
Using collage, projection and sound, Nam blends natural and digital media to create a living, biomorphic environment that feels alive as viewers move through it.

Nam is part of a growing wave of artists working outside major cities, finding new ways to express ecological awareness through art. She’s an OCAD U graduate and recipient of the John Madott Fine Art Award, and was featured at Toronto’s Artist Project ear
