LOUISVILLE, Ky. — “The Greatest” is finally getting a postage stamp in his honor.
On Wednesday, the United State Postal Service (USPS) announced two commemorative stamps honoring world renowned boxing legend Muhammad Ali would go on sale in 2026.
Ali’s wife Lonnie Ali, co-founder and interim CEO of the Muhammad Ali Center, said the stamps align with one of the boxer’s most famous sayings, “I should be a postage stamp because that’s the only way I’ll ever get licked.”
The commemorative stamps come after several years of advocating for a stamp honoring Ali.
Designed by USPS art director Antonio Alcalá, the stamps feature a 1974 Associated Press photo of Ali in his signature boxing stance.
