ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office, school and district officials responded to an altercation between three students at a high school Wednesday afternoon.

An isolated incident occurred on the campus of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School at 12:45 p.m. During the altercation, two of the three students sustained minor puncture wounds, according to sheriff spokesman Richard Walker.

Walker said the incident was quickly contained and the campus remained safe and secured with no other students and staff injured.

The Orangeburg County School District said the newly built high school is set to open in fall 2026.

No arrests were made.
