Canadians hoping to help the people of Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba and other countries after the Caribbean was hit by the powerful Hurricane Melissa have options.
The storm is considered one of the most powerful on record to make landfall in the Atlantic basin.
It struck Jamaica Tuesday as a Category 5 storm, and then hit Haiti shortly after. On Wednesday, it arrived in Cuba as a Category 3 storm, and is expected to hit the Bahamas later Wednesday as a Category 2 storm.
The full impact of the storm is still unknown but reporting from Haiti indicates at least 25 people are dead there.
