A lawsuit has been filed against a restaurant at Chicago’s Navy Pier after a massive fireball left a woman with critical injuries.
Kira Bond and several others have filed a suit against Offshore Rooftop at the Chicago attraction, alleging negligence and emotional distress in connection to the September incident, which was captured in graphic surveillance video.
Bond said she and coworkers were attending a work event at the rooftop when the incident unfolded.
“The video is horrifying to watch. One second Kira and her coworkers are standing around this s’more station and at one point this employee, we don’t know her name yet, takes a container almost like a ketchup like container and dumps liquid onto this open flame that causes a fireball and sets Kira on fire,” Tim Cavanagh of the Cavan
