GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WSAV) — A local Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence while on the scene of a death, according to Georgia State Patrol (GSP) records.

While on the scene of an unrelated death Oct. 12, a Garden City firefighter reportedly told an officer that an EMT smelled of an alcoholic beverage, the report said.

Two Garden City officers then began investigating and also said the EMT, Carson McCluskey, smelled like alcohol. Officers then spoke to another EMT who allegedly told them something along the lines of it "wouldn't be the first time" someone asked about it, according to the report.
