The University is Colorado is honoring one of its all-time greats.

On Wednesday, CU announced that the plaza on the west side of the CU Events Center will be renamed in honor of longtime women’s basketball coach and administrator Ceal Barry.

Per a press release, the plaza was approved by the CU Board of Regents Finance Committee and, pending approval by the Regents at their meeting on November 6, will be dedicated in a special ceremony on Jan. 25, when the CU women’s basketball team faces Oklahoma State.
