Sussan Ley has demanded Anthony Albanese apologise for wearing a band T-shirt “steeped in anti-Semitism”.

The Prime Minister had spent more than a day aboard a Royal Australian Air Force Airbus when he disembarked at Sydney Airport last week wearing suit slacks and Joy Division tee.

Fresh off a whirlwind visit to Washington – where he met Donald Trump and signed a landmark critical minerals deal – his descent to the tarmac was snapped by eagle-eyed media and made headlines.

The Opposition Leader on Tuesday said Australians “expect their Prime Minister to show judgment, respect and leadership” but have “got the opposite” from Mr Albanese.
