LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Halloween lands on a school day this year, prompting school officials to outline specific guidelines for what students could and couldn’t bring to class.
While it is still a regular day of learning, teachers and administration acknowledges the desire of students to celebrate the festive occasion.
Across both the Laredo and United independent school districts, elementary students were given the green light to wear costumes. However, there was a clear request: choose an outfit that’s easy to move in and doesn’t encourage violence. Parents were also encouraged to keep these points in mind for their younger children.
