EXCLUSIVE: Alana Haim ( Licorice Pizza ) is in talks to star alongside Aubrey Plaza in The Heidi Fleiss Story , the forthcoming dark comedy serving as a biopic for “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss.

The Heidi Fleiss Story takes place in 1993 Los Angeles, where a powerful young woman named Heidi Fleiss (Plaza) is arrested for running the largest high-end prostitution ring in the world. With the unlikely help of an aspiring writer, Jacolyn (Haim), who vows to be the one to write “The Heidi Fleiss Story,” Heidi scrambles around L.A. trying to blackmail and leverage various connections to get the case dropped.

Set to shoot in Los Angeles early next year, the film will mark the feature directorial debut of Leah Rachel, who’s working from a script written with Travis Jackson and Rachel
