UPDATE: The Walker County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Task Force are investigating an incident after several students became sick on Wednesday afternoon at Saddle Ridge Elementary/Middle School in Rock Spring, Georgia.
Sheriff Steve Wilson says the students ingested a “gummy”-type substance that made them sick.
All students were taken to the hospital with their parents or guardians, according to Walker County Schools Superintendent Damon Raines.
Their current conditions and the exact cause of the incident remain under investigation.
