STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton will be hosting a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner conference on Wednesday.
The event, also called the SAFE conference, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the hospital, and will take place during Forensic Nurses Week.
According to a flyer for the conference, the event will feature a full day of education and networking as the hospital celebrates its SAFE nursing team.
“A sexual assault awareness and information conference for nurses and senior-level nursing students wanting to find out more about how they can make a difference in a survivor’s path to healing,” the flyer noted. “Explore career pathways to becoming a SAFE nurse.”
The workshop will be held in the Sipp auditorium and will cover evidence collecti
