OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Going straight to the people - that’s what Council Bluffs officials are doing to improve their city after years of slow growth.

More than 2,000 residents gave leaders the blueprint to turn it around, and today we learned what that plan looks like.

Three of their main goals are bringing in and retaining younger generations and families, improving housing opportunities, and building confidence and morale in the city.

Chris LaFerla, the Chamber of Commerce CEO, explained that, “The data tells us we need to really focus on attracting young workers and families to Council Bluffs. The survey results show how we should go about doing that.”
