BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. —
For current high school sophomores, the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting can feel like a distant memory – if they remember it at all.
Monday marked seven years since 11 worshippers were killed in the 2018 shooting. Many tenth-graders would’ve been just 8 years old at the time. But a class of sophomores at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School got an important message today from some who lost loved ones in the attack. Advertisement
Carol Black – herself a survivor of the shooting – was one of four speakers who presented to students. Her brother, Richard Gottfried, was killed at Tree of Life.
