You never know who will go on a postseason power binge. In many cases, it’s a renowned slugger. But in others, it’s a player not as well known for hitting the ball out of the park.
Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is certainly in the former group, and he continued to showcase his muscle on Wednesday with a first-inning home run against Blake Snell in Game 5 of the World Series against the Dodgers -- his eighth dinger of the 2025 postseason.
Guerrero's clout made him the eighth player to homer at least eight times in a single postseason. Not surprisingly, all eight have done so in the Wild Card Era (since 1995), with expanded playoffs allowing for greater opportunity.
