LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Sacred Heart beat Christian Academy of Louisville 3-1 on Wednesday to claim the KHSAA field hockey state championship.
Anna Claire Kosek scored two of the Valkyries' three goals.
With the win, SHA finishes the season 28-0-1, the first unbeaten season in state history.
It is the Valkyries' fifth championship since the sport was sanctioned by the KHSAA in 2014, and first since 2021.
The title match was played at Christian Academy.
