Lessons on the links: Freshmen embrace takeaways while leading county golfers at state tournament

COLLEGE PARK — Middletown golfer Cooper Moskowitz was glad he was paired with two seniors for his championship round Wednesday.

The freshman certainly could hang with them on the course; he’s been one of Frederick County’s top golfers all fall. But Moskowitz was playing in a state final as one of the youngest at the University of Maryland Golf Course.
