LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 19-year-old from a small community along Route 66 in northwest Arizona faces charges after a truck drove through the front wall of a home on Saturday.

A blood alcohol test came back at 0.267% — more than three times the legal limit — for Lajontay Alvirez of Valle Vista, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The legal limit is 0.08%.

Generally, alcohol poisoning is considered to occur at a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.30% or higher. BAC levels above 0.40% are considered potentially fatal. BAC goes up when you are drinking faster than your liver can process the alcohol.
