HUMMELSTOWN – The Mechanicsburg field hockey program owns a 2022 PIAA championship but has never a District 3 title.
The Wildcats earned their chance at that title Wednesday night at Kreiser-Hallman Field by virtue of a taut 2-0 shutout over top-seeded Lower Dauphin in a District 3 Class 3A semifinal contest.
