PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — Editor's note: The name was originally incorrect. The correct name is Corey Hickey.

A Putnam County man has been arrested and charged with sexual crimes against children, according to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation .

The GBI says Corey Hickey, 38, has been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of children.

The GBI began investigating Hickey in October 2025, per the release, after they received a tip from the Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.

Hickey, an Eatonton native, was later arrested, according to the GBI, on charges related to the production, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Hickey has been booked into the Putnam County Jail.
