The Albanese government has threatened to sack Coalition MPs from committee positions in retaliation for moves to increase scrutiny of its activities in the Senate.
Shadow finance minister James Paterson confirmed the attempt at intimidation to Sky News on Thursday after it was revealed by the Australian Financial Review .
