MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A DoorDash driver faces homicide charges in the shooting death of a Canadian tourist who was on a golf trip in Wisconsin.
Luis Cruz-Burgos appeared in Sheboygan County Court on Wednesday after allegedly killing Giovanni Robinson last month as Robinson and his friends were walking from a bar in Sheboygan Falls.
According to prosecutors, Robinson and his friends were visiting the area for a golf trip at Whistling Straits. After Robinson scored a hole-in-one, the group celebrated at a local bar.
When leaving, they attempted to get a ride from Cruz-Burgos, who was working as a DoorDash driver that night.
