Bangladesh's national anthem was sung in this very meeting of Congress Seva Dal
A video surfaced online showing Assam Congress workers allegedly singing Bangladesh’s national anthem at a party meeting in Sribhumi district.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said he has directed police to file a sedition case against the Congress leaders involved, calling the act an "insult to India’s national anthem and its people."
Speaking after a cabinet meeting, Sarma accused the Congress of "endorsing the claim of Bangladeshi leaders that the entire Northeast is part of Bangladesh."
He warned that those responsible would be arrested soon, adding that such “anti-national behaviour will not be tolerated.”
