INDIANAPOLIS — One man is dead and another critically wounded after a disturbance led to a stabbing at a gas station near downtown.

According to IMPD, officers responded to a report of a person stabbed at the Speedway gas station at Kentucky Avenue and West Street, just west of Lucas Oil Stadium, around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. At the scene, they found two men who had apparently stabbed.

Preliminary investigation revealed the men were involved in some type of disturbance when the stabbing occurred. The man who police believe to be the suspect in the investigation was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in very critical condition and later died from his injuries.

The other man, who police described as the victim, was also taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
