LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Nate Carmody developed his passion for running while at Haslett High School.

“I wake up every day ready to run, like I look forward to it every single day working out, cross-training, or running. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Carmody.

Carmody decided to go to Lansing Community College to continue his career at the collegiate level. Unfortunately for Carmody, he suffered an injury that forced him to sit out his freshman season with the Stars, but it gave him a new perspective on the sport as well.

“I’m so thankful to be there, and it feels like it’s really increased my enjoyment and how hard I’m willing to work in practice,” said Carmody.

He was named the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Runner of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coac
