Karen Wurster brings her love of art to local kids at the Chaffee Art Center

‘Right now my students are working on a comic strip,” Karen Wurster said recently. She’s currently teaching the Chaffee Art Center’s new class, Sketching with Karen for Youth, on Thursdays after school from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for ages 8 to 13.

“They’re using all kinds of techniques, like cross-hatching, and different materials like charcoal and colored pencils,” she said. “And seeing them tell their stories just blows me away with their artistic composition.”
