Yesavage has broken the record for strikeouts by a rookie in a World Series Game after getting his 12th of the night in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Yesavage passed Don Newcombe, who set the record in 1949 as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Yesavage has been outright dominant in Game 5 on the road at Dodger Stadium in the biggest game of the 2025 season.
The rookie hasn't been fazed by the the moment, instead shutting down a high-powered Dodgers lineup.
