A dog owner from California revealed what her dog does every time he sees Koi fish in her dad’s pond, and internet users can’t cope with how sweet it is.

The heartwarming cli p shared on Instagram in October under the username @introducing_hati, shows the Siberian husky / German shepherd mix pup hanging out with the Koi fish in the pond at his grandpa’s house, gently bopping and petting them.

“My dog would try to eat them! Meanwhile, my dog...” the caption says. “Who’d have thought his best friends would have turned out to be slimey?”

The poster, Lynsey Haddock, told Newsweek that Hati has a deep fascination and infatuation for the Koi fish and nothing gives him more joy than hanging out with them, bopping them with his nose and trying to pet them.
