The Dallas Mavericks may have been dealt some challenging circumstances early in their season, as star player Anthony Davis left with what could be a devastating injury. The Mavs' big man exited Wednesday night's game against the Indiana Pacers in the second half.
Davis was on the court when his team called a timeout. While players walked over to the bench and the coaches onto the court, Davis sat down against the side digital display on the sidelines. As he hunched over, he began checking on his Achilles. Several teammates walked nearby to check on him.
According to an Underdog NBA update, Davis didn't return to the team's home game against Indiana due to his injury situation. Dwight Powell started the second half to replace the Mavericks' star.
