Kandhamal: Parents of a Class VIII student have blamed the authorities of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) at Dhobatota in Odisha’s Kandhamal district for his death on October 27 after he accidentally swallowed a pin used for fixing notices.

The victim, Tushar Mishra, was a resident of Daringbadi and was continuing his education by staying at his maternal uncle’s home in Phulbani. ADVERTISEMENT

According to sources, the incident took place on October 15, when Tushar swallowed the pin after removing it from a notice board. Although he and his classmates promptly alerted the schoolteachers, no immediate measures were allegedly taken and instead Tushar was instructed to simply drink water.
