After Bihar’s land-for-jobs scandal, Tamil Nadu now faces a massive cash-for-jobs controversy. The Enforcement Directorate has flagged a recruitment scam in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, allegedly involving relatives of DMK Minister K.N. Nehru. According to the ED, over 150 candidates bought government posts by paying ₹25–35 lakh in bribes, funneled through hawala routes. The jobs were handed out by CM M.K. Stalin in August this year. The ED has urged Tamil Nadu Police to register an FIR, as AIADMK, BJP, and TVK demand a CBI probe into the alleged corruption storm shaking the DMK government.
