CHARLESTON — A food festival with celebrity backing is set to take over the Lowcountry Nov. 14-16.

Organizers of the Food & Wine Classic in Charleston hope to build on the momentum from last year, when the event became the first-ever spinoff of the popular Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. That acclaimed food festival was hosted in Colorado for the 42nd time in June.

A cornerstone of the second running of the Charleston event will be the Grand Tasting, hosted at the Charleston Visitor Center (375 Meeting St.). That, plus a slate of cooking demonstrations and seminars, is included in the $1,950 weekend pass ($2,018.25 with fees).

Though the structure is the same as last year, the programming will be completely new in 2025, Food & Wine Editor in Chief Hunter Lewis said. The goal is to use
