OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) -Beginning Friday, the Trail of Treats event kicks off in Owensboro.

Officials say the event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. around the Smothers Park area, this includes Veterans Boulevard and West Second Street.

They say there are over 90 booths from local businesses and organizations.

Leaders say this will give families a safe place to enjoy trick or treating.
