LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Commuters going east on the Watterson Expressway should use caution as two different crashes within five miles of each other have slowed traffic near Breckenridge Lane and I-71.

The first of those crashes is at mile marker 18 and has shut down the right lane and shoulder. TRIMARC reports it as a three-vehicle crash that happened just after 7:15 a.m. Thursday. Traffic should be impacted for about an hour.

The second crash happened just before 7:10 a.m. just ahead of the 23 mile marker, near I-71. It’s a two-vehicle crash, according to TRIMARC and traffic should also be impacted for about an hour as crews work to clean up the area.
