Windsor police have charged a man following an attempted break-in at a west-end marijuana dispensary.

Police said the incident happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 9, when a suspect allegedly attempted to pry open a rear door at a plaza in the 400 block of Tecumseh Road West.

According to investigators, the suspect allegedly damaged a security camera with a crowbar before trying to force entry into the dispensary through an interior door.

Police said the attempt failed, and the suspect fled the scene.

Members of the Windsor Police Service’s target base unit identified the 38-year-old suspect after reviewing surveillance footage.
