One staff member recounted how they shouted back at impolite customers and even barred someone from the pub.

Recounting their time working at Wetherspoons , they disclosed: "I worked Friday and Saturday nights while training as a nurse.

"I'd get shouted at all day as a nurse and found it cathartic being able to shout back in Spoons when people were rude without repercussions."
