TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- As the month of October comes to an end, we are taking the time to amplify the voices of survivors and shed light on the courage it takes to leave a domestic violence situation.

In this week’s episode of “Rooted in Progress”, two women share their deeply personal journeys from abuse to empowerment.

One survivor left New York behind and found healing in Tampa, where she turned her passion for baking into a thriving business. Another fled California with only her baby, essential documents, and a few belongings, boarding a flight to Florida to escape her abuser and build a new life from the ground up.
